About us
In the early 80's we visited Greece for the first
time - as backpackers. It was the beginning of a never
ending love. The light, the landscape, the food, but above
all the freedom and the gentleness of the Greeks and their
way of life: the country never went out of our minds again.
Very soon it became our dream ever to have our own house in
Greece. For more than twenty years it was just a dream.
Holidays to Greece were the closest we could achieve.
Ideal spot
After several careers, especially
in healthcare, we unexpectedly got the opportunity to
sell our company well. This made it an easy decision.
Our own house on Zakynthos! The splendid, diverse
nature and the magical view, together with a capital
where (almost) everything you may need is sold and the
relatively easy connection to Holland: of all the far
corners of Greece we had visited this was the ideal
spot for us to settle down. Because of an unexpected
change in our live this dream was delayed a few years,
but by the end of 2008 we were finally able to settle
down on Zakynthos.
Enthusiasm
We hope that with this site we can transfer some of our
enthusiasm for Greece in general and for Zakynthos in
particular. We are looking forward to welcoming you in our
holiday houses and are convinced you will have an
unforgettable time here.
Finally we repeat our warning: anyone who once visited
Zakynthos, wants to return! Most people come back for a
holiday, but some to settle down (like we did). The latter
has takes a lot of doing, but that is a different story and
does not really belong here.
